I am not what happened to me,
I am what I choose to become.

about me

I am a certified Jungian Analyst and licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience working with individuals. Throughout the course of my career, I have trained at numerous clinics, agencies, and Institutes that service children, individuals, and groups. I have a strong background in the arts and my past academic research has emphasized art as a vehicle for individuation.

In addition to my private practice, I am the Clinic Administrator of the Whitney Clinic at the C. G. Jung Institute in San Francisco, which provides analytical psychotherapy to individuals and couples. I supervise graduate students who are in the process of becoming licensed psychotherapists as well as consult with licensed therapists.

I am deeply committed to my work with clients and look forward to working with you!

PHILOSOPHY

When we are at our best, we feel like healthy, well-adjusted human beings moving towards our potential. However, over time, our creative, instinctive, authentic selves can get lost in the difficulties of our life experiences. To preserve a sense of peace within, we may develop certain armors. While these responses may have been well founded, at some point in time they no longer serve us.

Therapy can help us to reconnect to our dynamic, genuine selves. In time, individuals can move towards a truer expression of who they are and begin to engage in life again in a more meaningful, productive, enlivened way.
